MONITORS "GREETINGS" SOUL SS-714 MOTOWN STILL-SEALED LP
THE MONITORS "GREETINGS!... WE'RE THE MONITORS", SOUL SS-714, released by Motown Records in 1968. This classic and collectible LP is still sealed in the original factory shrink wrap, and is in overall very nice condition, with only a small corner cut out visible on the lower right of the cover. This was the sole LP released by The Monitors on Motown, and features the memorable title track, "Greetings (This is Uncle Sam)", which was a remake from the Valadiers original version a few years earlier. Other great tracks include "Step By Step (Hand In Hand", "Time Is Passin' By" (also covered by Edwin Starr during his Motown tenure), and "Number One In Your Heart". Members included Sandra Fagin, her brother John, Richard Street, and Warren Harris. This album is the stereo version. A rare and essential Motown collectible.
