The album is essential to anyone into sixties garage/garage punk and/or fuzzrock as it contains as highlights non LP tracks by The Standells (cool tastey garage punk nuggets) and non-Lp tracks by the Chocolate Watchband, searing snotty fuzz ravers that mow down even similar acts like mid 60's period Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds ...above mentioned travks alone are well worthy of grabbing this garagerock artifact...
The Standells are front and center on this album and kick it off with the title track, which very easily sounds like it could have been a hit single standing next to "Dirty Water". The Standells, who perform in the movie, get another track, “Get Away From Here.” The revered, but nationally, hitless, Chocolate Watch Band get two tracks,"Sitting There Standing” is a great Yardbirds-style rave-up.“Don’t Need Your Lovin’" is an amazing snotty punk nugget of the best kind (ever) -- again, available only on this soundtrack.
Two other bands, which are on here, deserve some mention. Mom’s Boy’s were apparently an actual cool Sunset Strip band and “Children of the Night,” is a good tune from the poprocker end of the garage spectrum. The Mugwumps were not the group that helped form part of the Mamas and Papas, but were another Los Angeles band and “Sunset Sally” is a take-off on Calif Sunnysound poprock music, and is definitely listenable.
It’s a shame that The Enemies, who appear in the film aren’t on the soundtrack. This pre-Three Dog Night, Cory Wells group gives up two really good blues-punk numbers. They aren't on here, because of licensing issues.

The cover: The (mono) cover is 43 years old yet still solid, strong and crisp having only a 'touch' of shelf wear only starting on front and nothing more VG++ with clean M- (group photos!) back cover...no seam splits, no bendings, no writing...nice keeper garage artifact oif the sixties...
The vinyl: outstanding CLEAN = the original shiny luster is immediately glowing "EX" (excellent) with a few nothing inner sleeve type paper scuffs...playgrade is easily TOP M- in bold vibrant MONO...
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
