THERE ARE NUMEROUS SCARCE COLUMBIA, DECCA AND HMV EXAMPLES. PLEASE BARE IN MIND THAT THESE HAVE COME FROM A LIBRARY SO THE CONDITION WILL NOT BE FANTASTIC, ALTHOUGH SOME EXAMPLES ARE QUITE PLEASING. THESE AUCTIONS WILL HOPEFULLY GIVE PEOPLE THE OPPURTUNITY TO OBTAIN VERY SCARCE CLASSICAL RECORDS AT AFFORDABLE COMPETATIVE PRICES. THERE ARE SOME EXCELLENT EXAMPLES AND I AM SURE SOME WILL EXCEDE YOUR OWN EXPECTATIONS. WITH THIS IN MIND, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THEIR EX LIBRARY STATUS WHEN BIDDING AS THESE RECORDS WILL NOT REALLY BE FOR THE COLLECTOR LOOKING FOR IMMACULATE EXAMPLES.

Record
The record has been reasoanbly well preserved between VG+/EX-. There is still some surface shine noticed. There are some hairlines and surface marks on both sides in varying degrees, with a small scuff that can be felt, there is a faint longer hairline that cant be felt with some other minor surface marks. Otherwise in solid VG+ approaching EX-. A small label has been stuck on one label side.
I have listened to the record in its entirity numerous times so as to give a fair and accurate audio grading. And what I have noticed is that there is some light to moderate underlying static noticed intermitently. It is quite low in the mix for the most part with some areas being a little more noticed, generally quite a nice listen. The scuff that is noticed isnt too big a deal, it plays through without jumping or skipping, with some soft to medium ticks noticed on play back, this lasts for 2 minutes 20 secs approx.
Due to the sparseness of the personel on this recording piano and violin even the lightest marks are going to be slightly more noticed than say an Orchestral piece. That being said this played through reasonably well and matches the visual grading VG+/EX-.
Due to this record being stored and largely unused for many years I would recommend a professional clean to enhance this example further.
Sleeve EX (EXCELLENT)

A nicely presented sleeve throughout, some minor surface marks just noticed, minor laminate handling creasing, but clean and well presented for the most part. There is some very light edge and corner wear and minor scuffs. Some tape residue to the top edge area.
The back is quite clean with some minor toning and minor marks to the white areas, some handling wear and minor marks number written in the top right corner, with some tape staining along the top edge. A solid clean example of this sleeve.
