The Beatles – Magical Mystery Tour - MAL 2835 - Original 1967 Mono Press w/ Book.
Scranton Pressing Plant as indicated by the "I AM" in the dead wax.
1st U.S. pressing on Capitol Records MAL 2835
VINYL in VG+ /VG Side 1 VG+ with excellent audio with just a bit of background crackle, side 2 VG for first two songs then cleans up to VG+ for remainder. Surface has light scuffs and small scratches, nothing feelable. Fully test played, Labels look great.
COVER in VG condition with rubbing on back, spine solid and fully readable, corner bumps, staining/foxing on inside gatefold bottom seams solid and intact, top seams have chipping w/ paper loss, outer segment split 5" fro opening.
INNER BOOKLET fully intact with all pages accounted for, pages 11-13 loose with old sticker residue on top of pages 11 and 14, looks like it was used as a poster.
Notes:
1967 mono pressing. This was the last of their original US albums to be issued in mono.
Some copies may include an export sticker for the U.K. (see pic).
"IAM" in a triangle stamped in runouts denotes a Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Scranton, PA pressing, and it has unique Scranton labels.
-The labels credit BMI on all the songs.
-Inside jacket credits Maclen Music Inc., BMI.
-Has "No you're not" under "I Am the Walrus" in bold block letters.
-Pressed at Capitol's Scranton factory, as identified by the IAM triangle stamp in the run-outs.
