Contains unissued performances by The Grateful Dead and Laura Nyro, plus classics by Jimi Hendrix, Buffalo Springfield, Simon and Garfunkel, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Otis Redding, The Who, and The Mamas & the Papas. Numbered Limited edition pressing on colored marbled vinyl, packaged in a metallic gold, tip-on, gatefold jacket. 2x Printed inner sleeves. · Includes a new essay by NME journalist Keith Altham, who attended the festival in 1967.

The festival is remembered as the major American breakout performances for Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, The Who, and Janis Joplin. Predating Woodstock by two years, this was the first defining, large-scale rock festival in the US. The album cover features the iconic original poster artwork for the 1967 festival, set in a gold backdrop to acknowledge the golden anniversary of the festival this year & includes a new essay by NME journalist Keith Altham, who attended the festival in 1967.
