Description
Vintage record discoveries
The Tobacco Tags was formed by mandolin players and singers George ‘Looney Luke’ Luther Baucom and George Wade and guitarist-singer Edgar ‘Roly Poly’ Reid Summey. Active through the 30s, this group appeared on radio, where they had their own show, and made numerous records including ‘Get Your Head In Here’, ‘Ain’t Gonna Do It No More’, ‘Why Should It End This Way’, ‘Darling, The Answer Is In This Song’, ‘If I Only Had A Home Sweet Home’, ‘I Love To Ramble In The Roses’ and ‘Don’t Forget Mother’. The record is in rough shape, but the sound is incredibly good. No chips, cracks or breaks. No sleeve.

N New. (museum grade records).
N- Nearly Mint. Has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage. Sound is flawless.
E+ Plays like new, with very few signs of handling. May have tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of sleeves.
E Still shiny, near new looking. May have minor scuffs and very light audible “noise”.
E- Still shiny but without the shine of a new record with a few light scratches. Occasions of sound noise.
V+ Average condition. General use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate. Surface noise not overly pronounced.
V Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible .
V- Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy graying. Light audible distortion throughout.
G+ Gray throughout. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.
G Quite seriously worn and scratched. Music level is still higher than surface noise.
G- Music still prominent, but wear and scratch damage extensive.
