MONUMENT - THE FIRST MONUMENT Year:1971 Cat:BEAS 15 A1/B1 MATRIX - 1A/1G STAMPERS

On offer here is a rare chance to bid on this "doom rock" classic on the elusive Beacon label featuring the members of the "Black Magic" band Zior.
The single cardboard sleeve is quite flat with some thumb creases visible on the front when angled to the light. The rear is fairly clean with no marks or writing , just slight ringwear. The top and bottom edges have rubbing through the colour but no splits. The spine also has some wear but some of the text is still visible. Overall quite presentable and must grade at least VG.
The "Patents" paper inner has very little signs of wear and is graded EX.
The soild vinyl still has great gloss with a few light marks and a scuff visible under strong light. Visually graded VG++. The black and white Beacon labels are in excellent condition with no writing or marks, numerous spindle trails. When played there is some crackle and pops on the leadins on both sides and Track 3 in the quiet passages. A very dynamic recording that should not disappoint considering the rarity! Playgraded - Side 1 VG / Side 2 VG+

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
