Psychedelic Prog-Rock band The Moody Blues were at the height of their career, and in the middle of recording their "Classic Seven" albums, when they released 1969's To Our Children's Children's Children. Inspired by the historical moon landing, the album centers around time, space travel, and children, creating a musically and lyrically profound work.
It's heavy reverb on the vocals, lush orchestration (that includes a mellotron, harp, sitar, flute next to the more "traditional" band set-up) and extensive overdubbing made the songs next to impossible to play live, making this the last of their "big" studio productions.
This Music On Vinyl reissue's audio is based on the 2008 remastering, and includes a lyric sheet.

On The Threshold Of A Dream is the fourth album by The Moody Blues, released in 1969. Like most Moody albums, On The Threshold Of A Dream follows a concept. It explores dreams, especially on the second side, which climaxes with the "Voyage" suite, inspired in part by Richard Strauss's "Also Sprach Zarathustra."
This album is oozing with bright, splashy creative flourishes in two seemingly contradictory directions that somehow come together as a valid whole. On The Threshold Of A Dream provided The Moody Blues with their first British #1 album and remained on the charts for an astonishing 70 weeks.
The Moody Blues are regarded as one of the most innovative and successful rock bands in music history and you only have to put down the needle on this record to be convinced that this bold statement is indeed a fact.
"...in 1969 this was envelope-ripping, genre-busting music, scaling established boundaries into unknown territory, not only "outside the box" but outside of any musical box that had been conceived at that moment." - Bruce Eder, allmusic

Celebrate Four Decades of The Legendary Top #1 LP With First Time 180g Audiophile Vinyl!
A Question of Balance was another huge platinum plus # 1 smash for The Moody Blues and a stellar continuance of their progressive rock sound for the fans of this legendary English quintet. Featuring the original award winning line-up of Justin Hayward (lead vocals/guitars), John Lodge (lead vocals/bass), Ray Thomas (lead vocals/flutes), Ray Pinder (lead vocals/keyboards) and Graeme Edge (drums/vocals), A Question of Balance is undoubtedly one of their biggest selling albums and also one of the most revered offerings in their huge catalog.
Buoyed by the success of the huge hit single Question, their sixth album was filled with more melodic rockers like the powerful Ray Thomas classic And the Tide Rushes In, John Lodge’s workout on Tortoise and the Hare, plus the legendary Mike Pinder masterpiece How Is It (We Are Here).
The wonderful release also features a fine array of songs from the lead vocalist and guitar master Justin Hayward including the aforementioned smash hit Question as well as Dawning Is the Day and the steel guitar prog-rocker It’s Up to You.
The brilliant drum work and hip vocal styling of Graeme Edge are featured on the classic Don’t You Feel Small as well as the definitive album closer The Balance.
The beauty of this album is that you could always count on a classic listen from these five gentlemen of song. Featuring Ray Thomas’ striking vocals and flute delivery, Justin Hayward’s and John Lodge’s guitars and vocal acumen, the magic of Ray Pinder on the keys and classic vocal, plus Graeme Edge’s powerful drum and singing, A Question of Balance became the album of choice for radio programmers in 1970. The Moody Blues Every Good Boy Deserves Favour 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION LP
180g Vinyl LP!
Every Good Boy Deserves Favour is the best realized of the Moody Blues' classic albums. The lush melodies and the sound of Michael Pinder's Mellotron were never richer, and the guitar pyrotechnics on pieces like "The Story in Your Eyes" were never more vivid. "Emily's Song," "Nice to Be Here" and "My Song" are among the best work the group ever did, and "The Story in Your Eyes" is the best rock number they ever cut, with a bracing beat and the kind of lyrical complexity one more expected out of George Harrison at the time.
Although this collection only produced one top-40 single, "The Story in Your Eyes", anybody who likes the Moody Blues, or just desires a change of pace from the heavy beats and angry cynicism of today's music, would be well-advised to buy this album. Also included is "Emily's Song" which was written by John Lodge for his then-newborn daughter.
Features:
• 180g Vinyl
• All aspects of the original LP artwork faithfully reproduced
• Gatefold
• Limited time download card IF STILL AVAILABLE
• Made in Czech Republic
Selections:

Buoyed by the success of the two smash hit singles Isn’t Life Strange and their definitive follow up rocker I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band), Seventh Sojourn was filled with more masterful works like the powerful Ray Thomas classic For My Lady, John Lodge’s masterpiece When You’re a Free Man, plus the Justin Hayward and Graeme Edge prog-rock collaboration You and Me.
