Great condition 1971 UK 1st press psych/folk/rock gem

Strong excellent (EX) condition vinyl - completely flat, retaining a jet black sheen and in normal daylight comes across as virtually unmarked. With close inspection under a bright light it is possible to detect the occasional very, very light paper scuff, and on side 1 there is a 2cm extremely faint wispy hairline and 4 tiny and equally faint scuff marks - each strictly surface only, non-obvious, purely superficial and not impacting upon the terrific stereo sound quality at all. Similarly each label is excellent with just a few very faint spindle trails, again only really detectable under a bright light, otherwise perfect. The condition of the original, iconic UK 1st press non-laminated outer sleeve is a solid very good plus (VG+). Each edge remains firm with some intermittent light scuffing and 3cm of continuous light scuffing next to the right corner on the bottom edge, the occasional light scuff mark on the spine resulting in a few of the spine text letters being partially obscured (see photos), and some light scuffing in the middle of the top edge which is accompanied by a 4cm thin seam split. Each opening edge also remains firm with no fraying. The interior of the gatefold is difficult to fault in any way, with all text and colouring/art work remaining beautifully intact. The opening edges also remain firm with no fraying and the superb art work and colouring remain impressively intact. The sought after vinyl inner sleeve (notorious for it's fragility) is in excellent (EX) condition with no seam splits, no creasing, no age discolouration, and all lyric/credits text near perfect. (I always separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve and use a new plain white inner sleeve for shipping purposes, in order to protect both the original outer and inner sleeves). The STEREO audio quality is a superb excellent plus (EX+) with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, obvious clicks, interference or distortion and any background crackle is at an absolute minimum and restricted to very background during just a couple of the intermissions...negligible. You may just be able to detect 3 or 4 very light random background clicks (barely noticeable), no doubt due to the odd speck of dust caught in the grooves through decades of storage - again, negligible and not intruding upon the wonderful stereo sound quality at all with every track a great listen.
An "under the radar" psych/folk/rock gem when first released 52 years ago and only recently receiving the acclaim it deserves, making this UK 1st pressing highly collectable.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
