Good bad music for bad, bad times!
Time to get rid of some of the pearls of my collection. May they find a caring new home!
MORBID ANGEL- Thy kingdom come Original 3-track Demo Tape (USA, 1987)
This is MORBID ANGELS's second offical release (after the live tape you buy from them in 1986) and the one that led to the bands first vinyl release (on my and my partners now defunct "Splattermaniac Records" (a subdivision of OFF THE DISK RECORDS).
I've had met the band in 1986 in Florida where they invited me to their practice room. Needless to say, I was very impressed to hear MORBID ANGELS unique style that was quite new at the time. They just came from recording what was supposed to be their first LP to be released on David Vincents label. As you know, this never happened (and neither did the MASSACRE 12" ever see the light of day on said label), instead David Vincent moved to Florida and joined forces with the band. However, when Trey sent me this demo, we've already talked about a possible release on my label and so we soon received a 1/4" reel-to-reel mastertape with two songs out of three to be released as "Thy kingdom come" on 7" vinyl (666 made, 100 on white vinyl, a handful on grey. This has constantly been bootleged and for whatever reason doesn't show up on the bands official discography anymore .. Well, so be it).
Tape is in as new condition and still has the MA badge taped to the cassette cover! Don't know if they all came like this, but it's a rare piece of Death Metal history anyway and the three songs still blow off the top of your head! You won't likely see this again in near time!

Grading Policy: All items are being graded visually, under a 60w bulb. In some cases, I will however check the disc by playing it why a brand new stylus (Ortofon Nightclub E). I use the following visual grading system, grading cover / vinyl: m (mint) means that the record has not been played and was purchased factory new. This mainly applies to the condition of the vinyl record itself. Covers are only graded mint in case they still are in an unopened shrink or box. ex (excellent) means that the record has been played and the cover has been opened, but is in excellent, nearly flawless condition. vg (very good) means the record has been frequently used and may have smaller marks like scuffs and dust on the vinyl but no skips or serious damage and the cover may have slighter bends, fingerprints, ringwear or small tears (greater defects like tears will be stated individually). g (good) is actually an euphemism and means the record has major defects which will be individually noted.
Please note that what appears to be ringwear on the cover is mostly only visible on the plastic in which I kept my records and is not on the actual cover. All cases of actual ringwear will be stated!
