Originally recorded in 1988 and produced by Eric Greif (Acrophet, Num Skull, Viogression), the material contained here on was first released as ?Lock Up Your Children? demo before being officially released in 1990 as ?Spectrum Of Death? album. The debut by the Wisconsin thrashers contains a vicious and intense mix of early Slayer, Kreator, and Dark Angel that has not lost any of its violent impact. MORBID SAINT originally formed on November 1st, 1984, shared stages with the likes of Death, Dark Angel, Acrophet, Realm, and many more. After a never fully realized second album, the band performed its final show in 1993, and disbanded. MORBID SAINT reformed in 2010 and the band has been ravaging stages worldwide ever since. After a series of low-key reissues and shabby bootlegs, this is ?Spectrum of Death? in its ultimate version! For this release founding member Jay Visser (guitar) dug deep into his personal archive and excavated tons of rare photos, flyers as well as audio material hardly anyone has ever heard before, so better check out the ?Spectrum of Death (Extended Edition)? 2CD including the rough mix of the second album, ?Destruction System?, various tracks recorded in 2010 and 2012 plus a previously unreleased early 1992 demo, of which only 50 copies were ever made! The vinyl edition remained faithful to the original 8-track ?Spectrum Of Death? album, comes on 180 gram vinyl and is housed in a wide-spine gatefold sleeve as the 8 pages LP-sized booklet needed some space. The LP booklet includes a lengthy historical interview and tons of previously unseen visual material, and all lyrics to classic killers such as ?Assassin?, ?Crying For Death? or ?Damian?! All audio has been carefully mastered for vinyl, restored and remastered for the CD edition by Patrick W. Engel / Temple Of Disharmony (Iced Earth, Grave, Morgoth, Massacra) to ensure a most pleasant, violent listening experience!
