Description
This is a fine copy from an early unofficial reissue of the uber-rare sole LP by Topeka, Kansas, psych group the Morning Dew, originally released in 1970. The group released two fine pop-punk singles on the local Fairyland label in 1967, and built a strong regional reputation. Their LP was recorded in the summer of 1969, but not released until late the following year, by which time the public's musical tastes had changed. Thus though it came out on a semi-major label (Roulette), it is now a very rare collector's item. Stylistically, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Among its highlights (to my ear) are the opening track, "Crusader's Smile," the rocking "Young Man," and the psych tracks "Then Came the Light" and "Cherry Street" (all on side 1, as it happens). The jacket is close to M- with mostly light creasing in the corners, and a little sticker residue on the front cover (EX+). Visually, the disc is clean with some light scraping and scuffing. The source disc plays with occasional light surface noise. Either way, EX+.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
