MORRISSEY: Southpaw Grammar ORIGINAL 1995 UK Ltd Edition VINYL MINT & COMPLETE.
For auction, one of the BEST and RAREST records from Morrissey's entire back catalogue. The ORIGINAL 1995 Limited Edition vinyl of Southpaw Grammar complete with the super rare de-luxe booklet and in true mint condition.
Copies of this simply do not come up for sale much these days, mainly because nobody was buying vinyl 27 years ago and only a relatively few editions were ever pressed up for sale in the shops. Of course, the CD version is commonplace...but the original vinyl? Absolute collector's treasure.
And WHAT a copy we have here.
I have looked at it from all angles and in different light and am confident this record has never been played. The vinyl shines super-bright, deep and glossy without even the merest hairlines to mar it's perfection. I noted it had that tell-tale static resistance to leaving the inners which is always a sign a disc has not left it's sleeve before.
The sleeve is similarly impressive, totally clean, bold, stiff spine and undimmed colours. The bright orange hype sticker is in place announcing that this was a special edition of the record. On the back there is even the original 1995 £8.99 price sticker from London's (now vanished) HMV store. Though easily removable, these genuine historic details are becoming more cherished by many collectors.
The inner sleeves also cannot be faulted. No bends, no wear and no sign of previous handling. And that Morrissey/Southpaw limited edition 12" brochure! An absolute gem. Printed on high end, stiff card this was worth the price of purchase alone. Magnificent portraits of the artists as sharp and bright as the day they were packaged with the album.
There simply cannot be another UK original out there to match this. This is how this record left the factory back in 1995.
And here it is presented for sale again. A truly exciting opportunity for all serious collectors of Morrissey, The Smiths and classic 90s music.
