Description
By the mid-70s the Canadian group Morse Code Transmission had dropped the last word in their name and started recording a string of prog rock masterpieces. Before that, though, they were musically a nice mixture of whimsical psych, heavy mind blowing guitar at times (check out the great fuzz guitar on “It’s Never Easy to Do”), along with cool effects verging on prog as well; their sound has been compared to the Guess Who. Offered in this auction is their first, self-titled album, plus a compilation called Transmission that includes tracks from both albums recorded under the Morse Code Transmission moniker, Morse Code Transmission and II (among the tracks from II on this comp is the excellent 8-minute smoker “Funky Alice”). Morse Code Transmission was released in Canada on RCA in 1971. The cover is in F+ and the record is in G++. Transmission was released in Canada on RCA in 1976. The U.S. Post Office has just raised the postage rates...again. In the U.S., postage would be about $4.77 for these two LPs sent by Media Mail. Package insured upon request. Winners outside of the U.S. will be notified of postal fees, but an approximate cost for these two LPs to many countries is $16.20 by airmail (but Canada and Mexico will be less than this for most single LP packages). If you bid on and win more than one item, you WILL save on postage! Note: I do not gouge on postage and packaging costs. Record will be carefully packaged in a strong, oversized LP mailer.
