Description

MORTON FELDMAN : New Directions in Music 2 / Morton Feldman LP (Columbia [USA] ML 5403) 1959.

Record is Near Mint (our highest grade for an opened record). Cover is Excellent with minimal wear and very small tears at the top-left and bottom-right corners. With original "Columbia celebrates its 10th LP year" inner sleeve.

Original 1959 mono copy of this historic avant garde LP, later reissued as The Early Years (see our other auctions for a reissue copy).

Tracks are: "Piece for four pianos", "Intersection 3 for piano", "Extensions 4 for 3 pianos", "Two pieces for two pianos", "Projection 4 for violin and piano", "Structures for string quartet", " Extensions 1 for violin and piano", and "Three pieces for string quartet".

Performers include David Tudor, Russell Sherman, Edwin Hymovitz, Matthew Raimondi, Joseph Rabushka, Walter Trampler, and Seymour Barab.
