MOSAIC MQ10-163: The Complete Capitol Studio Stan Kenton 1943-47. Here is your chance to buy this luxury 10 LP box set of Stan Kenton's groudbreaking recordings of the mid-1940's. Originally issued on 78rpm discs and 16" transcriptions, here are all the 'hits' as well as many rarities. As usual, Mosaic has managed to unearth several previously unissued performances. Among the great musicians to be heard on these discs are trumpeters, BUDDY CHILDERS and AL PORCINO, saxophonists, VIDO MUSSO and ART PEPPER, trombonist, KAI WINDING, as well as superior vocals by ANITA O'DAY and JUNE CHRISTY.  The sturdy presentation box also includes a beautifully produced booklet containing stunning photographs, detailed notes on the sessions as well as a full discography. The condition of both the discs and the box is 'as new'.
