Description

Up for auction is a long out-of-print Mosaic Records Box Set of "The Complete Blue Note Recordings of Herbie Nichols.”  The Catalogue Number is MR5-118, and consists of 5 LPs.  This is one of a limited edition of 7500 (early Mosaic sets, including this one, were not hand-numbered).

 

The photos are of the actual box set being auctioned.  The LPs, LP-size booklet and outer box are all in Near-Mint condition.  Only Record 1 appears to have ever been played; LPs 2 through 5 appear Unplayed.  The only blemish on the outer box is a very small area in the bottom left-corner where the black cover photo rubbed to reveal white; this is visible in the first photo; otherwise there are no splits, cracks or other defects.

 

Box set will be shipped in a protective polyethylene sleeve and inside a very sturdy 14" x 14" x 4" box with packing "peanuts" to ensure that the set (especially the corners) arrives undamaged.  The net weight of the box set is heavy: 2 pounds 6 ounces. The shipping weight will be approximately 3½ pounds. 

 

All buyers also required to pay $2.00 charge to cover cost of special 14x14x4 shipping box.  USPS Insurance is available upon request.  Flat shipping rates are as follows:
