Description

Long-deleted 5LP Mosaic box set. This set collected together for the first and only time all the recordings made by the legendary Herbie Nichols' Trio 1955-56. Some of these originally appeared on two impossible to find 10" albums and a later 12" record in the Blue Note 1500 series. Somewhat after that, others appeared on a Japanese LP. However, this Mosaic box contains more than 20 previously unissued tracks. The 5LPs are as new and the pressings are up to the usual high Mosaic standard. The box also contains the usual beautifully produed booklet containing a full discography and high resolution photographs. The box itself is also as new apart from some slight damage to two of the bottom seams.
