Description

MOSAIC MR6-125  SHORTY ROGERS  The Complete Atlantic and EMI Jazz Recordings

A long-deleted 6LP box set, covering all the recordings made for Capitol, Nocturne/Pacific Jazz and Atlantic by this trumpeter/arranger 1951-56. Please note that these are not the usual big band recordings, but are mainly small group sides with only one or two other horns. There is one previously unissued performance. This has the usual luxury booklet with high-definition photographs, full track listings and discographical details. (More information on request.)

DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The discs are EtoE+ (VG+toVG++), with some very light scuffs/scratches, visible under a bright 'grading' light. There are one or two slightly heavier looking marks on record 5. These have little affect on the playing. The box is also EtoE+ (VG+toVG++), with very minor surface rubbing and an incipient 6cm seam split to the bottom half of the box's left hand seam.
