MOSE ALLISON: I LOVE THE LIFE I LIVE (CL 1565 Mono)
1962/3 issue: Two White Eye Logos with “GUARANTEED HIGH FIDELITY” in black along bottom
AMG 4 1/2 STARS: When this album was recorded in 1960, this laconic Mississippian wasn't the brilliant lyricist he would later become. But he had great taste. The title track, written by Willie Dixon, sure sounds like a Mosesong; "Fool's Paradise" is another gem. Mose's four tunes are instrumentals. The production by Teo Macero makes it feel like you're perched on one end of the piano bench.
Condition: The sleeve grades VG+. The record grades EX. Original inner sleeve included; the record ships in an anti-static, dust free archival sleeve. Check out my feedback score; you won't be disappointed.
