Sleeve: VG – Ring wear and quite a lot of wear and creasing around edges (as can be seen in photos). Spine creased but lettering can still be read clearly. Paper inner.
Vinyl: Exc+ - Unmarked in superficial appearance. In strong light some minor surface wear and light smears are apparent., Plays very well with only occasional surface noise.
This album is a little known gem from the psychedelic era, combining the quirky psychedelic songs of RP St. John (whose compositions appeared on early 13th Floor Elevators albums, including ‘The Kingdom of Heaven’ versioned here), with the deep soul/blues of singer Tracy Nelson. The band featured former Butterfield Blues Band keyboard player Mark Naftalin, and Tower of Power saxophonist/flautist Martin Fierro (leading a substantial brass section). Guest musicians include Michael Bloomfield and Barry Goldberg.
