MEGA RARE: Mother Lode were a Perth, WA, band that came and went and left this - unreleased (I believe) - custom-pressed single behind. I think it comes from 1976. the band featured Mark McEntee who would go on to play in The Divinyls with Chrissie Amphlett, Howard Shawcross, who at 58 now remains one of WA's most celebrated musicians and has played with just about everybody, and Peter nelson on drums. The songs, Smother Me and Flying were written, respectively, by Howard and Mark, and Mark. This promo-only white label is impossible to find. It doesn't even have a release number. All thed etails that exist are on the sleeve. I saw Mother Lode a couple of times and they were good. THis is an incredibly rare snapshot in time.KEEPER COPY
