On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Mott The Hoople called 'Mott The Hoople' and is a VERY rare 1969 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Pink 'i' Island label!!!! THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY RARE!!!!  EVEN STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP ARE HARD TO FIND - BUT THIS ONE IS RARER STILL AS IT HAS A DIFFERENT MATRIX AND A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE TO ONE SIDE OF THE RECORD!!!!  MOST STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP HAVE A2/B2 MATRIXES AND 3 'BANDS' OR 'TRACK GAPS' ON SIDE 2.  HOWEVER THIS ONE HAS A2/B1 MATRIXES AND 4 'BANDS' OR 'TRACK GAPS' ON SIDE 2!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT - BUT ALTHOUGH THIS LP PLAYS 'ROCK'N'ROLL QUEEN' AND 'BACKSLIDING FEARLESSLY' IN THE CORRECT ORDER - THE GROOVES ON SIDE 2 LOOK VERY DIFFERENT WHEN COMPARED TO A STANDARD 1ST PRESSING!!!!  SO PERHAPS A MIX DIFFERENCE?  EITHER WAY THIS LP HAS TO BE EXTREMELY RARE INDEED WITH THESE 'DIFFERENT' MATRIXES, AND 'GAP' DIFFERENCES!!!!  THIS IS THE 1969 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS PINK 'i' ISLAND LABEL, THICK QUALITY VINYL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AS A 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Island UK 1st pressing from 1969 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is ILPS 9108 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Island label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Mott The Hoople at their best!!!! Any fan of Mott The Hoople, or 60s/70s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, 2 or 3 light scufflines and only some VERY light paper scuffing only visible under bright light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss, and only a VERY slight touch of MEGA low level crackle in a VERY few places!!!!  There is NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The main faces of this cover are SUPERB with NO rubbing AT ALL and that is EXTREMELY hard to find on this cover!!!!  The cover has barely ANY top edge wear (NOT through the colour), only VERY slight roughening to the bottom edges (NOT through the colour and NO nasty deep 'fluffy' wear), NO splits, NO rips, NO tears, barely ANY spinal wear (side words all perfectly visible), NO ringwear, NO rubbing, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO wear, NO rubbing, NO grubbyness and NO yellowing!!!!  The only other thing to mention is the original price '37/5' is written in absolutely TINY writing in the top right corner of the reverse of the cover. The cover is must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND ON THE 1ST PRESS ISLAND LABEL, AND RARER STILL WITH THESE MEGA RARE MATRIXES & GAP DIFFERENCES - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
