Description
Incredible rare South African spiritual Jazz LP "Black Teardrops" by the group Movement in the City. Issued on the the independent label As-Shams (The Sun), SRK786150, in 1981.
Lineup is: Pops Mohammed Ismail (Keyboards), Basil Manenberg Coetzee (Tenor Sax), Robbie Jansen (Alro Sax and Fute), Sipho Gumede/Richard Peters (Bass) and Roger Harry/Monty Webber (Drums).

This is the second recording from the group Movement in the City under the auspices of producer Rashid Vally and issued on his As-shams label. During the period 1974-1990, As-shams released over 50 albums brimful of tracks that have become recognised as cornerstone compositions of South African jazz. There is no other label that comes close to having played such a seminal role in the history of South African jazz.
Record is in MINT unplayed condition and comes from a warehouse find.
The album cover is in excellent condition but has a Kohinoor sticker on the front and has few creases near the corners. It also has three sets of marginally noticeable staple holes.

Since I ship worldwide, I realize that some packages might need a little extra padding or care.
