Description

This is a nice old copy of Canadian Hard Rock outfit MOXY’s debut LP on the Mercury label. LP has nice sheen and lays nice and flat. Did play LP and it plays thru well and sounded really good w exception of loud pop on side 1 track 2. MOXY is best described as a Hard Rock band who’s sound can best be described as a cross btwn MONTROSE and URIAH HEEP. The big song here is *Sail On Sail Away* w other standout tracks including *Fantasy* *Moon Rider* and *Train*. The album features a guest appearance by the late great Tommy Bolin. Moxy put out 3 LP’s before tragedy struck the band and lead singer Buzz Shearman was killed in a motorcycle accident. The band put out a fourth album featuring athen little known singer Mike Rynoski who later shortened his name to Mike Reno of LOVERBOY fame. This LP is legendary in Hard Rock circles particularly the Midwest down thru Texas.
