" MOZART - DIVERTIMENTI " , The Decca Record Company Limited (SXL 2290) Stereo, 1961.
Very rare '61 Decca LP featuring members of The Vienna Octet performing Mozart's Divertimenti (K.334 and K.136).
The label is a wide-band Decca which is not grooved.
English issue and pressing.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT- (No serious scratches, no groove damage, just the very lightest of spindle trails, no excessive surface noise, etc. Under a bright grading lamp I can make out a few very light marks just visible on the vinyl's surface - although none of these correspond directly to any audible defects. On playback, there is some very faint surface noise just audibile during the silent run-in before the beginning of the tracks and occasionally during the silences between tracks. However, once the music starts, it plays perfectly - free from interuption from distortion, clicks, pops, surface noise, etc. Based on playback alone, this LP would probably have deserved a full "EX" grading, but I have knocked it down to "EX-" to take into account the slight visual imperfections.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = V.G.++ (No rips, tears, massive creases, etc and generally fairly clean and white still. But I have to mark it down for some light delamination along the spine and and the top left corner of rear of the sleeve has the letters "DI" stamped on it in black ink- see photos for further clarification)
NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records.
