Description
MOZART / MEMBERS OF THE VIENNA OCTET - " CLARINET QUINTET / DIVERTIMENTO IN F ", The Decca Record Company Ltd (SXL 6087) Stereo, 1964.
Very rare, 1964, English 1st pressing Decca LP with the "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY" label text on a wideband, grooved label and front laminated flip-back sleeve - see photo.
Pressed in England.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).
CONDITION:
VINYL = EX- (No deep scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only the lightest spindle trails, etc. Under a bright grading lamp I can make out some paper scuffs and a few extremely light surface marks - although these are purely visual and during playback, these very slight cosmetic flaws don't correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback there is a bit of sporadic faint surface noise and occasional crackle as the record plays through. More noticeable in quiet sections of course and definitely not severe enough to ruin the whole listening experience, but fair to point and so bidders can place there max bids bearing this in mind.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EX- (No heavy creases or defacing, etc. But suffers some smaller creases around the edges & corners and along the open edge. These creases have started a bit of delamination too- see photos for further clarification)
