Hey, they HAVE to be rediscovered (if they haven't been yet by you) for this mixture of rural british folk and drone and some real Velvet Underground influences (as it is rightly written in the liner notes) and for some real great songs too. This ain't different in quality from other gems of the Transatlantic Label. The voices of Bob Pegg and his wife Carole Pegg remind me in their difference of Richard & Linda Thompson (not as good as they were, but the difference between them is similar), Carole Pegg is a gifted violin-player, the stories they tell in their songs are very sinister, which is intended due to tradition, but just as good as the old ones. As a matter of fact a lot of their songs could come from hundreds of years before, but the way they approach this kind of music fortunatly is not dogmatic. - and different from other bands of those days like the Incredible String Band or Pentangle, - or the Trees who got two members out of Mr.Fox after the band split. It really is worth a try.
