This Lp was released on the 10th July 1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT 151g!!
VG-. Lovely heavy vinyl with a nice sheen.
There are quite a few light marks to both sides.I found the sound reproduction solid throughout.
I have just listened to the whole album and didn't find any less enjoyment in playback. There is some light background noise, mainly in the quieter sections-A gentle clean will improve her further.

(This is an unusual tax code for this lp as the MT tax code was used from January 1963 only until the 1st of June 1963...a very short running indeed and as this record was released in November 1963 it is a very unusual label indeed!)

 Cover: VG.
Solid, mid-sized mono in top right corner. Shiny front cover...She only carries a few small fingers of spidering to the front laminted cover-eminating from the seams and spine, with around 5 small crescents of spidering near the opening.
LOVELY
There is some foxing to the backcard, as well as a name in silver-so not too ostentatious at all.
There is some residual tape markings to the opening-this was only done by the owner to protect the cover. The tape has since been removed.
STRONG , SOLID CORNERS with just very light knocking.
The Garrod and Lofthouse flipbacks are in wonderfully strong condition.
STRONG, UNCRUSHED & LEGIBLE spine.
NO rips or tears!!
Has "Patents Pending" to back bottom right corner flipback.



Inner: EX.
It is the ORIGINAL "EMI" advetising inner in super condition.
NO SPLITS OR TEARS
"PATENTS APPLIED FOR" printed to the bottom of one side.
