Description

I live in LA so I see some nice music, film, art stuff.  When I saw this I said "now that's rare".
It's an incredible piece that is from the band "Mu".  This is their first record and it's on CAS label which was the second time this album was printed.  I'm pretty sure there were only 1,000 of these records pressed.  This is the only autographed copy I have ever seen, ever.
It was a gift to a lady that worked at Thrifty Mart.  Her name was Juanita Wiltrout.  I got this from Juanita's grandson who loved her very much and was with her until she sadly passed away in the mid '80s.  He contacted Merrell and asked him about the record.  Merrell said that it was probably Randy's handwriting on the back.  Merrell also said he "sort of" remembered her.  He also said Randy LOVED fruit so that's why you have the fruit reference in the note on the back.  The "thrifty" reference was in regards to the name of Thrifty Mart where Juanita worked.
The record is Signed by:  Merrell Fankhauser (guitar/vocal) composer of The Sufaris' giant surfing hit "Wipe Out", Jeff Cotton (guitar/sax/vocal) late of Captain Beefheart's Magic Band circa "Trout Mask Replica" and "Strictly Personal", Randy Wimer (percussion).
There is also a personal note on the back probably written by Randy Wimer.
The record sleeve is in VG+ EX- condition with no seam splits.  Has very little cover wear and no ring wear.  Just some very minor corner damage.
The Vinyl has been played very little.  There is one mark on side one song one that pops a little but is mostly obscured by the music then it stops halfway through the first song.
Almost no background noise on the record.  You are not listening to music in a field of surface noise, this record plays great.  On side two I heard some background noise for about six turns of the disc, twice, but I have not even done a thorough cleaning and the noise sounded more like dirt than light surface scratches.  I would rate this an 8 out of 10 or VG+.  Great Listen!!!!
This is a one of a kind piece so it's rarity is beyond rare, as it's literally one of a kind and should be added to the legacy of the psychedelic band called MU.
I hope this will go to someone who will appreciate the history and importance of this record.
Even if you can't buy it I hope you do enjoy the listing.
Thanks... and ENJOY!!!
