Description
This is an original 1962 pressing of Muddy Waters "Muddy Waters At Newport" Album, on Chess Records, catalog number LP 1449, 1st press black label. Condition of Vinyl and Cover are graded visually using the Goldmine system and are as follows: Vinyl: VG+, no scratches that can be felt with a finger nail, only minor sleeve scuffing and retains a nice lustre. Label and center hole show hardly any signs of wear (see photo). Cover: VG+, there is minor wear on top and bottom edges, corners are just a bit softend but not bent or dog-eared. The cover is still rock solid with no bends, creases, splits or ring wear. There is some wear and slight discoloring of the rear paste over cover and some paper has torn away at the edges. Original price sticker still remains on the back. Song highlights are: I'm Your Hoochie Koochie Man, Baby Please Don't Go, Got My Mojo Working and many more. Starting bid is $1.99 and has no reserve. On Jul-02-09 at 07:43:02 PDT, seller added the following information:When describing the back cover I used the phrase "torn at the edges". In retrospect, that seems a bit harsh. I think a better description is that the back paste over cover has sort of flaked away in some areas along the edges. Please see photo.
