Yet another great LP to be auctioned from an absolutely outstanding collection of records which used to belong to a well-known record reviewer. We here at Stamford Audio have never before seen such an amazing collection, and such a sterling one in this kind of outstanding condition is a rarity indeed.
This is the GREAT Muddy Waters' GREAT, misunderstood, maligned and finally MAGNIFICENT 'Electric Mud' LP on UK Chess CRLS 4542. From start to finish this oozes blues rock attitude, and surely Muddy must have known that it was worth persuading him to record in a way and style he had never done before (thank you, Marshall Chess!). The laminated flipback sleeve is in superb EX+ condition. Very minor storage wear and the ghost of a sticker top left.
The UK FIRST PRESSING (A1/B1) vinyl is in astounding NEAR MINT condition! Only one noticeable small spindle mark on label side 2 and just one light mark on the runout groove on side 2....NO NOTICEABLE MARKS ON THE PLAYING GROOVES - PHENOMENAL!!! BUY IT!
