MUDDY WATERS I'M READY BLUE SKY (CBS) Records 1978 This record is in VG+/M- condition. The cover is VG+.
The record plays well but could use a home cleaning since there is evidence of handling. For a used record, though, it looks quite good and plays the same.
The cover has, back and front, two large paintings of Muddy Waters by Philip Hays. They are impressive, fit for Mt. Rushmore.
Both the outer and inner sleeve are in VG+ condition. The inner sleeve has a photo of Waters surrounded by the instrumentalists who accompany him on this album. The second side of the sleeve has a list of songs played with citations of the instrumentalists who accompany him.
Muddy Waters is known as a Chicago blues guitar player to "folkies" of the 1960s and '70s. However, this album features his singing; his instrumental work blends with his vocal. What guitar he is playing has properly merges with the sound of his band.
Muddy Waters' voice is rich and expressive. He is among the best singers of Chicago Blues.
