I'm listing a number of rare LP's this week that come from my private collection and will be listing many more in the coming weeks.

This listing is for a very rare, original blues LP from the late 1950's featuring one of the blues greatest artists, MUDDY WATERS.

MUDDY WATERS- The Best Of - Black Label 1957 Chess Records Mono LP-1427

Without question one of the greatest blues LP's ever recorded and a must have if you're a collector.  No collection of the Blues is complete without it.

Please note that unless otherwise noted, all records are graded visually and not play graded.

Condition:  The vinyl is in VG+ to VG++ Condition.  Side one is:  VG+ and side two:  VG+ to VG++.  Side one has some light spindle marks on the label.  Side two label has only a couple of spindle marks that I can find.

The vinyl has some small light needle marks and superficial light scuffs.  These however should not affect play and have only a small affect on the visual integrity and the beauty of the vinyl which still has a lot of the original luster.

The cover is in Excellent Condition with light ring and shelf wear but is overall very clean with most of the original shine.  The spine is in excellent condition, and minor shelf wear on seams.  Looks as if someone had installed at some point and time tape at the bottom and top seams.  I suspect just for protection against seam splitting as I can not find seam splits except a hint of a small split on the bottom seam at the opening.  The tape was carefully removed and there are only light sighs of it ever having been there.  Overall a great looking cover.  Please take a close look at the photos.

The back of the jacket is in Very Nice Shape, clean with only some very light staining.

A valuable record but as with most of my auctions it is being listed without a reserve.

All records will be very well packaged and shipped in a proper record mailer.

Shipping:  I offer the following shipping options due to requirements of Paypal that a tracking number be supplied by the seller to Paypal as proof of shipment if a buyer puts in a claim for an item not received.

Canada:  All records will be shipped by Xpresspost at a cost of $10.00 US.

United States:  Auctions ending at less than $100.00 will be shipped by Small Packet (Air) at a cost of $12.00.  Auctions ending at $100.00 or higher will be shipped "Expedited-USA" which includes a tracking number at a cost of: $17.00 US.  Please be aware that "Expedited" is sent mostly by surface and therefore depending on your State this method could take up to three weeks for delivery.  If you wish to receive it quicker, the package can be shipped through "Xpresspost" which is sent by air and includes a tracking number at a cost of $29.00 US.

Overseas Shipping:  Auctions ending at less than $75.00 will be shipped by"Small Packet" (Air) at a cost of $19.00 US.  This is the quickest least expensive method but please note that there is no tracking number available for items shipped by this method.  Auctions ending at $75.00 or higher will only be shipped by "Xpresspost" which is quite expensive at approximately $65.00 US.  The cost does vary somewhat depending on the destination country therefore I will email the buyer with the final shipping cost at the end of the auction.

Insurance:  The first $100.00 is covered but anything above is $2.00 extra for every $100.00.  Insurance is highly recommended as I will not be responsible for items not insured for the appropriate amount.

Combined Shipping:  I will be glad to combine shipping in order to save on the shipping costs.  The combined shipping cost will be calculated on the total number of LPs and will be the exact amount that it costs me to ship the package.

Please Note:  I will not make exceptions to the above shipping methods.  I will not ship any item to ITALY or the RUSSIAN FEDERATION.  Please do not ask as I will not respond to your request.

Payment:  Payment is expected within 3 days of auction ending.

Please accept my apologies for the lengthy shipping description but the reason for this is that my concern is that the buyer receives the items they have purchased without any problems.
