Mulatu Astatke  - "Tiz Alegn Yetintu"  b/w "Emnete" Philips PH 7-101 1970 (?)
HOLY GRAIL of Mulatu Astatke 45's! Recorded shortly after Mulatu returned to Ethiopia from studying music in the US.  This great Ethiopian 45 pairs Tilahun Gessesse's excellent vocals on the soulful "Tiz Alegn Yetintu" with the monster Afro-Latin-Funk-Jazz instrumental track "Emnete". 
Genuine 1st MONO Press: ~Red 'Philips' label with silver print~
CONDITION: Labels: VG+. Slight shelf wear only. No center hole. Vinyl:  Side 1: Plays VG+ with great sound quality. Some light sporadic surface noise only. NO skips or sticks when played on my system. Visually, VG with numerous light, but superficial marks and hairlines. Side 2: Plays VG/VG+. Plays with a tick over the first seven revolutions of the side. Towards the middle, a mark produces a pop for about six revolutions. Besides these two instances, "Emnete" comes through loud and strong.  NO skips or sticks when played on my system. Visually, VG/VG- with some light superficial marks and one visible deeper mark in the middle of the side.
