Splendid psych/jugband album in great EX condition!! This will doubtlessly be of interest to DAWN collectors.

In 1970, The Good Earth Rock 'N Roll Band -- Ray Dorset (guitar, vocals), Colin Earl (keyboards), Paul King (banjo, jug), and Mike Cole (bass) -- were signed by Pye Records, which was looking to launch a new record format known as the maxi-single, an album-sized record that would only contain 3-4 tracks. The label did not care for the band's name, however, and insisted on a name change. The new name, Mungo Jerry, was inspired by the poem Mungojerrie and Rumpelteaser from T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.

Mungo Jerry's first maxi-single --"In the Summertime," "Mighty Man," and "Dust Pneumonia Blues" -- was released in May 1970. "In the Summertime," which had not been the band's choice for its debut single, went straight to the top of the UK charts and stayed there for seven weeks, and sold over six million copies within six months of its release. The band made its live debut at the Hollywood Festival at Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, the same week its single was released, and all but stole the show. The band's self-titled debut album was released (complete with 3D sleeve and glasses) in July, and made its first trip to the United States in September.

THIS VERY HEAVY GLOSSY VINYL PLAYS GREAT ALL THE WAY THROUGH BOTH SIDES. 

THE  SOUND REPRODUCTION IS SUPERB AND EVERY NOTE IS HEARD CLEARLY AND CRISPLY WITHOUT DISTORTION.  NEEDLESS TO SAY, NO STICKS OR JUMPS!

Vinyl: VG+ to EX. Only a few light hairlines that have no implication for the audio reproduction, this sounds great!!  The audio has beautiful separation and there is hardly ever any background noise. I played this twice in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be a very hard item to find  again, it is indeed mega rare now. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!

Sleeve: EX.  Rarely seen these days, unlike the single the LP is extremely rare and more so INCLUDING the original "Mungo Jerry" 3D glasses!! The gatefold sleeve is textured and the absolute first batch issued. NO writing. NO splits. The spine is 100 % fully legible. NO writing.

Inner sleeve: EX. 

Insert: EX+. The 3D glasses which are usually gone missing are in fantastic condition!!! It will be a long while before you will see this item again.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next psych album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
