Description
50's/60's Sounds Records US 7" EP: Music For Monsters. Uncredited solo theremin 7". Not really rock at all, but weird enough to classify as an offshoot of psych. Psych-o, perhaps. Anyways, Tracks: Ghoul Glide, Skeleton Dance, Banshee Love Call, Dracula Drag, Dinner Music For Monsters. Despite the campy titles, this records IS incredibly creepy. Whoever the player is, they are not attempting to make silly space music, rather, they create genuinely creepy, dark and minimalist, non over-dubbed theremin tracks with no other instrumental backing. There are sound effects added, but not pushed to the foreground so as to become a haunted house record either. In fact, some of the sound effects are unrecognisable as anything other than noises, adding to the unsettling textures of this record. A very strange, very dark and creepy avant garde record. Listen alone at your own peril. Vinyl is VG++. Incredible picture sleeve has ring, corner and edge wear and 3" seam split on bottom. Anyone know anything more? Write and tell me!
