Description

This is a set of 9 Lps compiling field recordings of early southern blues and jazz released by Folkways records around 1955 I believe.  I believe there are supposed to be 10 lps in the set, so unfortunately vol. 10 is missing.  Also, there are no liner notes or booklets, Just the records and outer jackets.  The jackets are all still in relatively nice shape, w/ only a little bit of splitting along the bottom edges of a couple of them.  There is almost no surface/ring wear however.   Theses records did at one time belong to a school library, and thus have potentially been handled by quite a few people.  A few of the records do show moderate surface/handling wear, while most are still pretty shiny and in nice shape.  None of the records are terribly bad and all should play at least fairly well w/ tolerable surface noise or better.  Each record will be placed outside of its jacket in a plastic outer sleeve, and all records will be mailed together in one box specifically designed for shipping records.
