Description
Hi All, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to vinyl collecting. OK for your consideration we have:
Title: MUSIC IN A DOLLS HOUSE By FAMILY
Cat No: RSLP 6312 – STEREO
Issue: Original 1968 1st UK issue on the TRI-COLOUR REPRISE Label
Vinyl Condition visual: The vinyl grades as VG; the vinyl has retained a little of its gloss and sheen but is starting to dull. The disc is clean overall with a few light scratches and marks on each side but nothing too serious at all and all commensurate with age and with the grade allocated.
Vinyl Condition Playback: The vinyl grades as VG+; almost, but not quite silent at the run-in, thereafter occasional and mostly mild static clicks and pops but nothing too drastic at all and all commensurate with age and grade. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and there are no skips or jumps at all. The music is delivered superbly; a nice copy and a strong VG+.
Label Condition: VG; as you can see in the photos minimal spindle marks and or other blemishes and no damage at all; all the text is clean and legible.
Cover Front: The front cover Grades as VG-; the laminated front has numerous creases in the lamination and there are several mild bends. Although essentially damage free there are dings at the opening edge and ring wear and rubbing is present.
Cover Back: The unlaminated flip-back back cover is as for the front – although clean and damage free, the laminated flip-backs have a few creases and there is some age related discolouration in places. Stereo sticker top left.
Spine: The spine is ok, good lamination and all text is clear and legible but the spine is bumped in places – not too serious.
Corners: G; all bumped, rounded off and there is some laminate loss to all of them.
Summary: A reasonable copy of this fab Prog album, great arrangements and musicianship as we have all become accustomed to with Family. Not scarce by any stretch of the imagination, but getting harder to find. However, if you’re in need of a copy of this fab UK late 60s album this copy will do nicely until you can find a better one. As a package I grade it as VG.
Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no-nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
