I can guarantee that the World in Sound issues, in both formats, are taken from the master tapes, and sound so amazingly superior to ALL other reissues as to make them seem like a completely different album. This was one of the earliest psych albums ever reissued. For all these years, I have listened to this with it's sub-par (polite for terrible) fidelity, and learning to accept it as just "what the album sounds like". Hearing the newly remastered version by W.I.S. simply blows me and my accustomed image of this album clearly away. Finally, what this was always hinting at, yet never quite capable of achieving. It's awesome garage driven, prog style rock, with strong psych flavor, featuring extensive use of organ and fuzz guitar. Unfortunately, though the fidelity has been improved so much, there was nothing they could do about the lousy mix, which often leaves what sounds like some fabulous guitar solos, languishing at the very depths of the mix. The improved fidelity goes a long way toward helping this shortcoming, but cannot completely repair it. Otherwise, this is considered among the pillars of the genre, and should be heard by all fans of garage/psych.
