Description
Listed is Ma Rainey's 10" "Dream Blues/Lost Wandering Blues." The record plays V- to V (still sounding pretty good for a Paramount). The "Dream Blues" side plays with light surface noise throughout; the music can be heard well above the surface noise but there are a few clicks. When I initially played this side, it had several pops and skipped in the middle of the record. I changed the tonearm weight between 2.5/3 on my player and played it again several times and while it still had a couple of clicks, it no longer had the pops or skipped in the middle. So, please be aware you may have to weight your tonearm a little heavier for it to play. The "Lost Wandering Blues" side plays with a little more surface noise but does not have any pops or skips. Visually, the record has no cracks but does have a very small chip in the rim of the "Lost Wandering Blues" side and shows graying. The record is not warped but doesn't lay perfectly flat on the turntable (see pic). This is certainly not an E or E+ record but is still listenable and the music can be heard above the surface noise. I play grade everything I list before it goes up for auction (unless it is SEALED or marked "unplayed"). I am a collector, not a store and do my best to grade accurately and take great care of my LPs. If you are purchasing internationally, please do not ask me to place any value on the customs for other than the value the LP sells for. I will not ship to Brazil or Italy; sorry.
