Description

MA RAINEY- FIRST OF THE GREAT BLUES SINGERS, VOLUME 1, Riverside RLP-1003, 10 inch LP, red vinyl. Cover art by Robert J. Lee.

This rare 10 inch LP contains 8 tracks recorded 1927-1928. Ma Rainey's accompanists include Tampa Red (guitar), and others.
The tunes are Daddy Goodbye Blues, Black Eye Blues, Deep Moanin' Blues, Runaway Blues, Leaving This Morning, Travelling Blues, Sleep Talking Blues, Blame It On the Blues.    

Condition of record is E+, no scuffs, no scratches, no spindle marks, plays very well for a 10 inch LP. Jacket shows slight overall wear, no seam splits.

M = Mint. Brand new, unplayed. We never use the term "mint" to describe a used record, no matter how clean the record is.
E = Excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect.
VG = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.
