Ma Rainey Volume 1 Origins of Jazz 10” album 2x One-Sided Test Pressing Acetate.
Here’s a RARE record :
It’s Ma Rainey Volume 1 in the Origins of Jazz series.
What makes this special is that it’s the whole 8-track album, complete, BUT split into 2 One-Sided Test Pressing/Demo/Acetate records, complete with hand-written labels.
Both records are in at least VG+ condition, maybe even EX and play beautifully with NO skips or jumps on my 1970’s Fidelity record player.
There are NO inner sleeves.
The Cover itself is clean, but creases on the front bottom corner, and has splits in the spine and is completely open at the bottom - see photos - I think this is because it was only meant for 1 record, not 2, and fitting them both in was impossible without splitting the cover.
Still a RARE test pressing to own !!
