Up for auction is a SEALED Mad Season Above Double vinyl set. It is an excellent album that has never been opened. There are two vinyls. Three sides contain music and one side is etched.
The original street date for this was March 14, 1995.
Mad Season began when Pearl Jam's Mike McCready set up some informal jam sessions for himself and some friends: Barrett Martin from The Screaming Trees and John Baker Saunders, who was a bassist McCready had met in Minneapolis. Saunders has played with such artists as Little Pat Rushing, Sammy Fender, the Lamont Cranston Band and Hubert Sumlin. John Baker Saunders said that two songs on the record (Wake Up and River of Deceit) were written on their first jam session.
McCready then called Layne Staley, the lead singer for Alice In Chains, and asked him to come and help out. Staley arrived with tons of ideas and the rest is history.
The official members of Mad Season are:
Layne Staley, Mike McCready, John Baker Saunders and Barrett Martin. Additional musicians on the album were Mark Lanegan and Nalgas Sin Carne.
