Description
Madhouse 8 is an album by the jazz fusion band from Minneapolis Madhouse created by Prince. Prince had considered the idea of an instrumental jazz-funk album since recording tracks with Eric Leeds for the side project "The Family". In late 1985 into early 1986 he recorded hours of instrumental music with Leeds and others including Sheila E., Wendy & Lisa and members from their bands. From these sessions an album was compiled to be called "The Flesh" but the project was abandoned and its concept modified to become Madhouse. The album cover is meant to be reminiscent of a 1940's pinup photograph. This is a special album and a rare find, the cover is in G+ condition, it does not have a promo stamp but was given to us by the WB Rep, another employee had written her her initials over the bar code on the back.
