This listing is for a Madness The Prince 1979 Two Tone 7 Inch Single & a Vintage Madness Badge from the 1979-1980 period. This is the Paper Label Verson of this Single coming in it’s original Two Tone Paper Sleeve. The Prince was Madness’ debut Single reaching No. 16 in the U.K. Charts & it was their only Single released on Two Tone Records. It was the third Single released on Jerry Dammers then new Two Tone Record label with the index of CHS TT3. The Single features the Two Tone version of the Prince on the A-Side & the Two Tone version of the song Madness on the B-Side with both songs later being recorded for Madness debut album on Stiff Records. The Vintage Madness Badge features a blue & white checked pattern with a black Pork Pie hat in the centre of it with the word Madness in capital letters within the hat. This Two Tone Vinyl comes in a plastic protective Vinyl Sleeve. I’m selling these Madness The Prince 1979 Two Tone 7 Inch Single & Vintage Madness Badge now as I’m reducing my Madness Collection.

This Madness The Prince 1979 Two Tone 7 Inch Single is in an fair Condition for its 43 years of age with the Vinyl having a few surface marks & scratches to it which I’ve tried to capture in the photos of this listing. This Two Tone 7 Inch Single has been tested prior to listing & it plays perfectly fine across both tracks on both sides of the Vinyl without any skips, jumps or crackle. There is no damage to the paper label on either side of this Vinyl apart from a small blue mark (possibly a pen mark) on the B-Side Paper Label. There is no damage around the Centre hole of this Vinyl. The Original Two Tone Paper Sleeve has some minor small tears to it around its circular centre on both sides of the Sleeve which I’ve tried to capture in some of the photos of this listing. This Paper Sleeve also has old cellotape to the bottom of it due to a rip at the bottom that partially allows the Vinyl to partially poke out of the bottom of it which I’ve tried to capture in one of the photos of this listing. The Plastic Vinyl Sleeve has no damage to it. The Blue & White Checked Porkpie Hat Madness Badge has some surface marks to the front of it but it hasn’t lost any of its vivid colour in the past 40+ years. This Badge has a bit of rust on the back of it as expected for vintage Badges from the late seventies/early eighties but the badge with the pin in full working order. I’ve tried to accurately describe this Collection of Madness The Prince 1979 Two Tone 7 Inch Single & Vintage Madness Porkpie Badge which I’m sure that you’ll find is reflected in the photos of this listing. These two vintage Madness items both come from a pet & smoke free home.
