MADONNA - ACT OF CONTRITITION 10" ACETATE


Super rare official 1989 Sire label USA 10" 1-sided Metal acetate with a 7" playing surface which features  'Act of Contrition'' which was commercially issued on the B side of the USA pressing and features the Prince Guitar Riff.

The disc has a custom 'Masterdisk' studio typed label with the pressing date '17th Jan 1989' and track info and running time '2:18' , housed in a generic sleeve and a real genuine piece of Madonna history and possibly the only one in existence.

Acetates are the very first pressings of any single, used to test the quality of the recording from the master tapes by engineers and artists. They aren't actually vinyl records but lacquer covered slabs of metal - making them extremely fragile and with each play they deteriorate a little. The B Side of the disc is blank with one centre hole and a off centre hole common with Acetates

In used very good condition - only played once to test by us due to fragility & played fine on this occasion. Due to the purpose of all acetates they would never be mint or near mint as they are pressed for use & testing purposes and this one carries many sign of use and wear with general marks and wear.
