Description
This is by far the rarest item that I have ever come across. It was issued by mail order for a brief time only--very, very few were ever sold.
Through years of collecting, i have literally never come across a complete set.
(a recent eBay auction for a VG+ LP 2 and the book alone went for $7700.00.)
These are the rarest of Andy Warhol covers, published by Doubleday in 1951 & 1953.
They're really museum pieces and are in fantastic condition considering their age and the flimsy paper construction of the LP jackets.
I have done my best to take representative pictures of the complete set.
I do hate to part with this set, so the price really has to be right.
I will gladly entertain all reasonable offers though, and please feel free to reach out with questions.
so, all of that said...

there are NO TEARS at all in either paper cover, and the edges are all intact.
RECORD 1:
light fading, looking slightly worse on the lower third of the jacket
there is a small piece of tape (pictured) toward the upper left that is NOT covering a tear--it is just a small piece of clear tape
LP is in solid VG++ condition
RECORD 2:
in significantly better shape than LP 1, with only very light fading on the bottom of the jacket and NO TAPE anywhere.
just above the copyright info on the front cover, there is a small ballpoint pen mark--a line that's about 1/4" long
LP is also in solid VG++ condition
BOOK:
Jacket and dustcover are in solid VG+ condition, with light wear from age
pages are very lightly yellowed but not badly at all
front and back covers are in great shape, with a very small dent on the bottom front near the spine--see pics
I will very carefully package and ship this item priority mail with insurance at no extra charge
