1980's The Correct Use Of Soap is the third full-length album from British post-punk act Magazine formed by Howard Devoto after departing from the Buzzcocks in the late-70s. Following-up the group's more experimental 1979 effort Secondhand Daylight, the Martin Hannett (Joy Division, The Psychedelic Furs, The Stone Roses) produced 10-song set finds Magazine returning to the punk-infused rhythms of their breakout debut with catalog standouts "Sweetheart Contract" and "A Song from Under the Floorboards" to go along with a distinct cover of Sly and the Family Stone's "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)."
