Very rare 1952 original Vogue LDE 005 UK release of Mahalia Jackson....subtitled Queen of the Gospel Singers Vol 1....in superb condition..
10" Heavy Vinyl is in superb condition ... minimal light hairlines only......terrific sheen ...just a tiny bit of background noise ........terrific sound from this high quality 1st UK pressing.....this is such an old and rare record and looks so lightly played I've treated it as a more modern near mint copy and lightly dropped the needle in a few places to ascertain its condition, which is EX...both looks and sounds great!
The original West Brothers , Mitcham front laminated flipback sleeve is in stunning condition with light wear/scuffing to corners and opening... edges, flipbacks and spine great.........great whiteness to rear...superb crisp condition.....EX+....if you ever see a 56 year old cover in better condition than this I will be astonished..
Vogue LDE 005 labels in superb virtually AS NEW condition.....with MS 88 and C etched in A side runout and just a single K on the B side runout...very 1st UK Pressing in stunning overall condition....
